With increasingly frequent MRT breakdowns, thrashed shared bicycles across the island and the possibility of space station fragments falling from our skies, it’s not that farfetched to think that the end of days are arriving for Singapore — a country (once) known for its water-tight efficiency and zero-tolerance for vandalism.

One cartoonist has taken that thought to a stunningly colorful level with a truly Singaporean doomsday entitled Sibeh Apocalypse. In response to recent happenings, the illustrator behind Robert the Otter cartoons came up with a balls-out, firecracker of a script and storyboard starring the titular otter. A Singapore taken over by zombie-fied ofo bikes and runaway trains (plus Marina Bay Sands toppling “in a way that doesn’t offend anyone”)? Get someone, anyone, other than Jack Neo to helm this project, please.
