Be careful out there on the roads, people. December’s heavy downpours mean inclement weather for motorists, and one cabbie was lucky enough to survive a mishap that saw his taxi spinning out of control while navigating a bend.

Facebook user Karl Abraham had been driving along Buangkok East Drive after exiting the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) yesterday afternoon when he nearly crashed into the whirling taxi. According to Abraham, the SilverCab was spotted speeding alongside him when it swerved and drifted right in front of his car. Fortunately, it came to a halt without the cabbie hitting anyone, and more importantly, no one got hurt. Abraham noted that the taxi driver looked more stunned than anything else and drove off from the scene quickly.

“There are two possibilities: the taxi driver was speeding at the bend at high speed on wet road and losing control probably due to worn out or bad tires,” he wrote.

Watch it unfold on the dash cam clip that was shared with the Singapore Reckless Drivers Facebook page.
