The next time you find yourself wading into unnerving, unchartered territories with your partner/spouse/significant other, remember the ingenious move of this one man.

Apparently, afraid of his wife finding out whatever secret he was hiding from her, one husband sent his mobile phone to the repair shop with a little note and a bribe hidden inside to make sure he’d get what he wanted.

Along with what looks like two S$50 notes, the note read: “Bro, please don’t fix it, my wife wan to spotcheck, this is my little present!!!”

Bro Code activated.

But however viral-worthy this incident, we’re pretty sure the code doesn’t involve outing a fellow dude on social media for all to see.

The Facebook post put up yesterday by someone who appears to work at Gadgets Connection — the shop that reportedly received the phone — quickly went viral in less than a day, with netizens applauding and having a chuckle at the husband’s inventive trick.

Our only question: Now that the post, and its accompanying picture, has gone viral, did the man’s wife see it and recognize the handwriting? Does he now regret trusting a complete stranger? Guess we’ll never know.

Nevertheless, as with anything online, there will always be cynics and critics. Several netizens, suspicious of the convenient placement of the shop’s business card in the photo, claimed this was nothing but a sneaky marketing ploy (possibly inspired by a fellow dude in trouble).
