Fine, fine, Yishun’s not all that bad. The infamous neighborhood’s fortune may be turning — it is the spot where two lucky punters split a $13.6 million lottery prize after all.

Now, the Nee Soon Town Council has praised two auxiliary police officers who were caught in the midst of a kind deed in the neighborhood. The two Aetos Security personnel helped to escort an elderly man as he made his way slowly across a pedestrian crossing, and they looked pretty serious doing it. In their uniforms, the two stood by like the old man’s personal bodyguards, letting him take his time to get to safety.

The town council praised the two men and called Yishun a genuine “#HomeWithAHeart” (though most of us would know Yishun as #XiaoLangTown). Commenters noted that the elderly man is a regular fixture in the area near Northpoint City shopping mall.
