The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to a fire in the Sungei Kadut in the early morning today — and as any seasoned firefighter would know about cases in industrial estates, it was gonna be a massive blaze.
And what an inferno it was — SCDF arrived at 65 Sungei Kadut Loop to find a three-storey warehouse entirely engulfed in flames. The explosions inside were loud enough to awaken residents in nearby Choa Chu Kang, according to Channel NewsAsia.
As you can see from this clip caught by a Chua Chu Kang resident, that warehouse was proper lit.

Firefighters surrounded the warehouse with seven water jets, confining the fire to the building. The operation saw a total of four fire engines, two Red Rhinos, an ambulance, seven support vehicles and 50 firefighters deployed.
SCDF officers also managed to rescue seven people who were trapped in an office block adjoining the warehouse. The dramatic rescue saw them extricated from the rooftop and a third-floor balcony.
It took over three hours for the fire to be extinguished — it was only around 8.50am that firefighters started dousing small fires and smouldering embers inside the building. They remain on site, as of writing.
