GEYLANG

Though it holds an infamous reputation as Singapore's red-light district, Geylang is much more than its shady background. Yes it's true that the district has plenty of dubious karaoke lounges, bars and brothels to boot, but the colourful neighbourhood is also home acclaimed local food, Singapore's oldest Malay enclaves and authentic charm untouched by urban redevelopment.
