Though the district's world-renowned transgender sex bazaar is now ancient history, Bugis remains as vibrant as ever. With Bugis Street now the largest street-shopping location in the country, the district is also where one can find the historic Kampong Glam, filled with Malay and Middle Eastern eateries alongside chic retail shophouses and hip watering holes.
