Zilingo is where you can now shop online for indie brands from Bangkok’s Chatuchak market

Beat the heat, avoid the crowds and shop from the comfort of your air-conditioned home with new(ish) online retailer Zilingo. Featuring everything from womenswear and menswear to grooming products and home decor items, the site offers everything we’ve become accustomed to, including free shipping and free returns. It also displays a collection of big name brands like Love Moschino, Furla, Emporio Armani and Rebecca Minkoff.

But if you’re thinking it’s probably just another Zalora or Lazada, Zilingo has actually taken it one step further to partner up with indie brands from around the region that don’t necessarily have an online presence yet. Local labels on the platform include I’zzie, Elisa Litz, Stef & Co, and Mou Mou Leather Craft (pictured) — they’re mostly shops in the Bugis or Haji Lane area. And for those who take a trip to Thailand annually to stock up their wardrobe, you’ll be pleased to find Thai brands like Style Syrups and Napat_closet on Zilingo, as well as shops from Bangkok’s famous Chatuchak market such as Contemporary Store Bangkok, Monotone and Embroiderer.

Unfortunately, you can’t really rummage around the site specifically just for brands from, say, Chatuchak. Everything’s categorized by item type, so you’ll have to know the exact name of the store you’re looking for before you can search for it. Otherwise, feel free to spend hours online shopping your heart out.
