Finally, October 31 is almost upon us. Check out our list of spooky shindigs to find the one that best suits your groove — we’ve got everything from crazy circus acts, nightmarish pub crawls, zombie laser tag games, and skin-crawling mazes.

Take a trip to the island this weekend for UV neon art installations by local artists, as well as free sports and activities like neon volleyball, a light painting booth, and more. There’ll also be screenings every Saturday at the Emerald Pavilion’s Bean Bag Cinema — this first one features X-Men: Apocalypse.

The week of sassy runway shows and sleek fashion collections spotlights local and international brands, including the likes of Jason Wu, Weekend Sundries, Lai Chan, Whole9Yards, Zin Kato, and Wai Yang.

Wino-holics, where you at? Flock over to the country’s largest outdoor wine festival to sip on glasses of red, white, and bubbly from vineyards across the globe. When you’re not busy purchasing bottles of wine, nibble on bites by chefs from Meat Smith, Monti, Morsels, and Kilo. But take note that wine tasting sessions end at 8pm on Friday and 6pm over the weekend, so arrive early unless you’re only interested in the afterparty.

Circus! Science Under the Big Top
Learn about the science behind the circus as this exhibition shows you illusion versus reality and offers a peek behind the curtain of the enchanting acts. The showcase also offers visitors a chance to “perform” their own tricks, with activities like elastic acrobatics, the balance bar, the high wire, a clown alley, and lots more.

Singapore-based French photographer Jose Jeuland tells the story of hardships faced by the female-dominated world of the Haenyeo — divers in the South Korean province of Jeju — through his compelling images.

Pack your picnic mats for an evening of chill tunes by four local artists: Debbi Koh, Ffion, Maricelle, and Tim De Cotta.

Head over to Haw Par Villa this Halloween weekend to get freaky at the festival, which features art, dance performances, food, and music by the likes of Sam Rui, Wicked Aura, Amateur Takes Control and M1ldl1fe.

At this fun run, nobody cares that you haven’t been to the gym in eons. Just put on a white tee (or your race shirt) and make sure you’re covered head-to-toe in multi-colored UV glow powder by the end of the 5km route. After that, stick around for the party and dance the night away.

Sunday, Oct 29
Held in conjunction with Car-Free Sunday, the one-day dance carnival across the Civic District features a string of performances as well as a half-dancing-half-walking walkathon for a family-friendly cardio workout.
8am-12pm at various venues around the Civic District. Free.
Take your furry friends over to the Botanic Gardens for a day out with picnic baskets full of goodies (for the owners) and jazz melodies by the likes of Anne Weerapass, Dawn Ho, and Eugenia Yip. The event aims to raise awareness for stray dogs.
5pm-7:30pm at Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, Singapore Botanic Gardens. Free.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens in Concert
The first official Star Wars concert in Singapore brings to life John Williams’ soundtrack performed by more than 70 orchestra musicians to the backdrop of the movie projected on the big screen, complete with all the dialogue and sound effects.
