Nordic Adventures with Sanrio characters
Wave hello to cutesy Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Gudetama and Little Twin Stars as they bop their way through the airport today. But if you miss out on them, you can still pop by for the month-long event to check out the Nordic exhibition (complete with a Northern Lights video display) and the snow funhouse.

Saturday, May 27
Look forward to nine days of workshops with art makers, an art exhibition by local artists, two record-breaking events, and a family-friendly coloring competition at the inaugural art fest.

Multiply: A Majestic Playground
Before we say goodbye to the 11-year-old New Majestic Hotel on Bukit Pasoh Road, Keepers x Straits Clan will be taking over the 30-room space with a medley of artists, tattoo artists, craftsmen, designers, chefs and more. Come with a wad of cash and work your way through the food stalls, bars, pop-up ateliers and workshops.

For a chillax Saturday, take a stroll along Connaught Drive and listen to tunes by the likes of Ken Loh, Jawn and Disco Hue.

The annual fundraising market features photography and printmaking workshops, performances by acts like Intriguant and NADA, and products by Basheer Graphic Books, The Lorem Ipsum Store, Holycrap and more.

Organic-Friendly Farmer’s Market
Stock up your pantry with healthy goods like organic veggies, fruits, spices and herbs, as well as locally-made sauces, extra virgin olive oil and other condiments.

Art market organizers The Local People turns three, and to celebrate, it’s transforming the fifth floor of Golden Mile Tower car park into — of course —an art market filled with vendors, fundraising games, live music, art installations and more.

The month-long fest focusing on Peranakan culture features performances, art and craft workshops, heritage exhibitions, cooking sessions, and high tea afternoons serving up traditional Peranakan goodies.

Join author Charmaine Leung at the launch of her book about her growing up years on Keong Saik Road in the ’70s — back when it was a red light district and her mother was the madame of a brothel. After the session, stay back from 5pm till 7pm for post-launch drinks.

UK comedian Russell Howard brings his comedy tour ‘Round the World to our shores for a night of LOLs. Catch him in action to perk up the end of your week.

Feast on three types of roast: chicken, beef or pork belly ($25/plate) with sides like Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower and cheese, and sautéed veggies. There’ll also be beer, cocktails and house pour spirits at $10 each for the entire night.
