Friday, July 20

13.13.13

The stage production of Singaporean playwright Shen Tan’s 13.13.13 looks at the life of a couple named William and Samantha, who are (happily) unmarried. Their mutual agreement on the state of their non-union and their shared bliss begin to unravel, however, as acts of betrayal begin to test their relationship.

Ben & Jerry’s Scoopitiam

Ben & Jerry’s first ever pop-up stall at Lau Pa Sat features the brand’s latest ice cream flavors — Chocolate Shake It Truffles (chocolate malt) and Chillin’ the Roast Truffles (cold brew coffee). Head over to get free — yes, free — scoops of either one served with rainbow bread or wafer biscuits. Also look out for a retro photo booth and limited edition merch in the space.

Crowd Ctrl: Party Favor

DJ/producer Party Favor helms the decks for Zouk’s Crowd Ctrl showcase, with his signature beats of hip hop-influenced trap tunes. Lenerd and Nash D support.

Light & Colours: Art of Vietnam, Singapore & Malaysia

This exhibition looks at how artists respond to light and colors, featuring works from eight names around the region whose styles range from traditional to contemporary to abtract.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow

The funny fest returns with stand-up gigs, sketches, and satire sessions by comedians Cal Wilson, Nick Cody, Mel Buttle, Rahul Subramanian, and Dilruk Jayasinha.

Until July 21; 8:30pm at KC Arts Centre – Home of SRT. $59-$69.

Great Singapore Wine & Spirit Festival

Start off with an international buffet complete with booze of all kinds on Friday evening, followed by a wine and spirit market, riverside picnic, and sundowner after party on Saturday, and end off the weekend festivities with a Mediterranean brunch plus bottomless bottles on Sunday.

Until July 22; various timings at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. $58-$160.

Present Future

Supernormal’s latest fundraising exhibition, Present Future, pays homage to the artists that have helped shape the art space’s identity, with works by the likes of Joanne Pang, Robert Zhao, Melissa Tan, Daniel Chong, and Ong Kian Peng.

SG Lewis

Brit music maker SG Lewis comes to Kilo Lounge for his first-ever Singapore live show, armed with his brand of dance-oriented, electronic-based melodies.

Saturday, July 21

Blind Spots

This photography project by Labour Arty focuses on the everyday common spaces and places shared by migrant workers and locals.

Kinkilicious x Eatmepoptart: One Love

Kinki rooftop bar is putting on feel-good tunes of Brit-pop, rock, and electro by weelikeme and KiDG.

Nickelodeon Slime Cup

Open to Singtel subscribers on Saturday and to the public on Sunday, the sixth edition of the Nickelodeon Slime Cup in Singapore features activities like a slime sewer obstacle, slime surfing, slime arcade games, and more for those young enough to still be watching the TV channel. Familiar characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star will also be there for photo ops.

Pink Ball

Hit the dance floor at, er, the Suntec Convention Hall, with two different zones brimming with beats by DJs, as well as a line-up of “hunks” and “divas” to keep you entertained.

Pink Dot

Celebrate the freedom to love at Hong Lim Park, with appearances by the likes of Sezairi, .gif, Tabitha Nauser, Hirzi, Subhas, Vanda Miss Joaquim, and more.

Sephora Playhouse

Sephora’s first and biggest beauty event in Southeast Asia spans 10 days with a Insta-worthy funhouse full of makeup and skincare goodies from some of the shop’s most popular brands. Here, you can sign up for makeup workshops, traipse through thematic rooms, and try out all kinds of beauty swag to doll up for your night out.

Singapore Garden Festival

The seventh edition of this fest features highlights like fantasy and landscape show gardens, floral “windows to the world” by international artists, balcony garden displays, an orchid extravaganza in the Flower Dome, a marketplace with light bites, plants, and crafts for sale, and lots more.

Until Aug 3; various timings at Gardens by the Bay. Adults: $12-$16; children aged 3-12 $6-$9.

 

Sunday, July 22

Sunday Market Flow

Robertson Quay hotel is hosting a day of morning yoga, brunch dishes, and an outdoor market featuring a line-up of Singapore’s sustainable brands.

10am-4pm at M Social Hotel Singapore. $18.
