Bassjackers

The Dutch duo will get you high on their brand of EDM, dance and trap as they take the stage to unleash dizzying zingers all night long.

Greetings from Singapore — Discussion with SKLO

Local artist Samantha Lo, better known as SKLO, launches her ‘Greetings from Singapore’ book today, and she’ll be around in the evening for a chat.

Huayi — Chinese Festival of Arts

This annual fest features theatre acts, music performances, dance showcases, workshops and talks. Among the highlights are a Chinese adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and a play called Offending the Audience — it’s got no plot, no setting and nameless actors.

Until Feb 12; various times at various locations in Esplanade. Free and ticketed.

Gear up for the weekend with a night of lush electronic melodies by the Berlin-based musician at the newly-revamped Kilo Lounge on Tanjong Pagar Road.

Saturday, Feb 4

Bob Marley Birthday Bash

Dance the night away to celebrate the King of Reggae, who would’ve turned 72 this year. There’ll be chillax island vibes all around with British dub reggae producer Prince Fatty helming the decks.

Dakota Adventures: Special Edition

Started by the Dakota Adventures team, this trail sees the elderly residents guide you around the flats as they share their personal stories. You’ll also get to visit the former residents’ new homes just 300m away at Cassia Crescent.

9.30am-noon at Mountbatten MRT Station. Free.

Goodbye Obama Hello Trump Comedy Tour

For all those who’ve been despondent and despairing over Trump’s first acts as the President of the United States, perhaps this night of laughter will lift up your spirits. Chuckle your worries away as these Obama and Trump comedy impersonators take the stage to lighten up your mood about everything that happened during the elections.

8.15pm at Kallang Theatre. $68-$118.

Rewind Shophouse Party

Let DJs Sha, Gravity and Alvin take you back to the ’90s with their medley of hip hop, R&B and rap by the likes of Eve, Tupac, Mary J Blige and Notorious BIG.
