In a heart-warming video directed by local filmmakers Boo Junfeng and Mak Chun Kit for Pink Dot 2017, everyday Singaporeans came together to sit down for coffee and a chat with people from the LGBT community — a community that most of them were unfamiliar with.
What followed was a series of open-hearted talks between the older Singaporeans and a community of people that they had rare interactions with. Both sides met each other for the first time to engage in conversations where initial misconceptions and different perceptions soon melted away into a better understanding of one another.
