If y’all don’t know the deliciously dope Eminem-based meme that is “Mom’s Spaghetti”, y’all are sleeping way too much. Back in 2002, iconic rapper Eminem released an Academy Award-winning single called Lose Yourself, a tune that accompanied his semi-biopic 8 Mile. One memorable line from the track goes like this:

His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti
He’s nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs,
but he keeps on forgetting what he wrote down,
the whole crowd goes so loud
He opens his mouth, but the words won’t come out
He’s choking how, everybody’s joking now
The clock’s run out, time’s up over, bloah!

Leave it to the internet to come up with a warped version of the verse that makes the Italian classic the main crux of Em’s despair.

Eventually, someone figured out how to make “Mom’s Spaghetti” real.

Good to know that Eminem and record label Universal Music Singapore have decided to run with the meme. An a pop-up event on Apr. 14 to promote the rap star’s new album Revival, they’re really serving up spaghetti. Mom’s spaghetti.

“Here’s your one shot to savor the iconic Mom’s Spaghetti at the exclusive Mom’s Spaghetti Pop-up Day on 14th April,” wrote Universal Music Singapore. Details are scant (no idea if spaghetti will really be served up), but those interested in finding out have to save Revival on their chosen digital music platform and upload it to this website.

Previous “Mom’s Spaghetti” pop-up events have so far delivered — fans got the chance to try spaghetti with meatballs and spaghetti sandwiches.
