Composed of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, and founded in 1986, the band first achieved mainstream success in the mid-1990s with the release of their breakout album Dookie. While the early aughts signaled a decline in the band’s commercial success, their 2004 Grammy award-winning album American Idiot became a worldwide hit and spawned a musical of the same title, which made it to the stage on Broadway and the West End.

Oh, and in case you haven’t been following Green Day for a while, the rockers are set to release a new album titled Father of All… on Feb 7, 2020.
