Homegrown company Page One has been given a new lease on life — this time, it’s returning as a bargain bookstore on the fourth floor of The Cathay. After shuttering its only Singapore store at VivoCity in 2012 when its five-year lease ended, the local brand — which has six outlets in China — started selling books at pop-up stores in 2015.
With a seven-month lease for its store in the quiet mall along Handy Road, Page One has filled its shelves with over 2,000 titles covering everything from fiction to lifestyle to design. The best part? All the books are brand new, and they’re retailing for as low as $1.
But for its opening sale (which goes on till June 11), the price range of the books goes from $0.50 to $5.
Page One is at #04-14 The Cathay. Daily 1pm-10pm.
