Immersive rooms filled with art from an influential Dutch painter are making their way to Singapore real soon.

The Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will make its Singapore debut on March 1 at Resorts World Sentosa. It previously toured across Europe and the United States of America.

The 360-degree digital art experience features more than 300 of Gogh’s works covering the exhibit’s over 17,000 sq ft of space and its various galleries.

Those works include sketches, drawings, and paintings that will be projected across the space from floor to ceiling and wall to wall.

A highlight includes an expansive central projection area where guests can sit and immerse themselves in the projections that are shone all around.

A multisensory Virtual Reality experience brings guests into “A Day in the Life of the Artist” which is inspired by Van Gogh’s most beloved works such as the Bedroom at Arles and Starry Night Over The Rhone River.

The experience in Singapore will be the first to debut two segments featuring showcases of traditional Japanese art style of woodblock stamps and prints from the 1880s which are known to have influenced Van Gogh’s art style. There is also a matcha tea ceremony on display to pay homage to Japanese culture, which guests can take part in.

Another area will let guests go crazy with their art, creating masterpieces that can be turned into digital art pieces. There will also be a cafe, gift shop and programs like yoga classes and art jamming sessions for all ages.

Tickets start from S$24 for adults and S$15 for children.
