Music takes shape in many forms and genres, as does love. MTV Asia celebrated Pride Month with their #LoveBeyondGenres campaign, which saw queer designer Teo Yu Sheng (aka Heckin’ Unicorn), and up-and-coming drag queen, Opera Tang, profiled as part of MTV’s award-winning short-form series, The Originals. The series profiles artists and creative individuals with unique journeys and perspectives. Fans were also invited to co-curate a themed playlist on Spotify, which was played on-air as well.
Coconuts had the opportunity to speak with Yu Sheng on our podcast earlier this month, where we discussed everything from being queer in Singapore to where he gets inspiration for his LGBTQ-themed merchandise.
