Being cooped up at home can be stressful and even more so when social interactions are taken away from you. Thankfully, we have music collectives that are bringing virtual parties to your home screens for you to enjoy a night in.

So lock the doors, close the windows and get jiggy with these parties.

Zouk Singapore

Zouk Digital is back at it again to bring home viewers another installment of SESSIONS. The online party programming features pre-recordings of live DJ sets from some of its signature nights.

In tonight’s session, local DJs Nash D, Rattle & rapper THELIONCITYBOY will take you on a ride of hip-hop’s finest selects and the hottest R&B jams. The party starts on Facebook or YouTube from 10:30pm.

Lock the doors and turn up the volume to the tunes of the club you miss!

MyRepublic Singapore

Local telco MyRepublic is livening up your stay-home experience by livestreaming performances by local artists for free. The party takes place every Wednesday and Friday at 6pm until May 22.

Streamed via Facebook, tonight’s performance features singer Jamiel Said, who will be rocking out to some English pop and soft rock hits by Richard Marx and Aerosmith.

If you don’t want to roll with the rock, you can tune in to multilingual singer Jee Yon on Friday. He will lend his electrifying guitar skills to various English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Hokkien pop songs.

A Phat Cat Collective

Local nightlife group A Phat Cat Collective is bringing two virtual parties to your home screens for free every week from 10pm to 12am. They are streamed from the homes of resident DJs via the Twitch livestreaming platform.

You can choose to tune in to NINETEEN80 for a megamix of earworms and jams from the ‘80s to the ‘00s with DJ BOBOS on Fridays and Pinball Wizard for a throwdown of hip-hop gold with DJ OLLIE’DES on Saturdays.

If you are feeling the music and loving the groove, consider giving back by purchasing a Pay-It-Forward Cash Voucher from their store to show support.

Take Back The Nights

Take Back The Nights is an online concert series that collaborates with local artists to raise donations for concert performers and production crew members who lost jobs due to the COVID-19 situation.

Local singing duo Jack and Rai and R&B singer Izat Ibrahim will be blessing our ears in a pre-recorded livestream this Saturday at 9pm via Facebook.

Streaming is free and you can donate by scanning the QR code that is linked to SG MUSO, a nonprofit organization dedicated to music.
