Swedish furniture retailer Ikea has teamed up with world-renowned streetwear designer Virgil Abloh for a limited-edition collection of ultra-cool home decor that’s perfect for millennials — and it drops in Singapore next week.

True to Virgil’s style, the Markerad collection of 15 items includes minimalist glass-door cabinets (S$300) as well as floor rugs and wall clocks printed with the 39-year-old American’s signature quotation marks.

There are also daybeds, tables, chairs, bed textiles, mirrors, lighting, and more.

CEO of Milan-based fashion label Off-White, Virgil is also the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear line. For Ikea, he’s reimagined its iconic blue-yellow Frakta bags with a brown paper-looking version reading “SCULPTURE” (S$19.90).

In case you didn’t know, Virgil has a penchant for taking words out of context and printing them onto various objects to front some meta-aware irony. “WET GRASS” is printed onto a green shag rug (S$299) and “TEMPORARY” onto a wall clock (S$39.90) – because time is temporary, get it? (Ed. note: If you don’t dig that kind of thing than you may not be a millennial.)

So if making a statement at home is your thing, the Markerad collection goes on sale Oct. 31 at Ikea stores in limited quantities.

All items are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t waste time trying to call and reserve anything. The goods aren’t for sale online, so you’ll need to move that thing you call a “BODY” down to either outlet located in Tampines or on Alexandra Road.

Customers are limited to only four of the dining chairs (outta luck, families of five) and only two each of any other items.

Considering the popularity of Virgil Abloh and his Off-White label in Singapore, it’s probably a good thing to arrive at the stores early.

Good luck, and may the “OFFs” be in your favor.
