Taiwanese shaved ice gets an adorable makeover, thanks to Barcelona’s Eyescream and Friends, a brand that creates amazingly smooth layers of shaved gelato topped with googly candy eyes. Why are we telling you this? ‘Cause the shop will be opening its first store in Asia on our shores.
Come September 1, flock with the masses to the new Compass One mall in Sengkang (those who live in the area, lucky you!) for an icy treat to beat the heat. You’ll get to pick from flavours like vanilla, chocolate, cheesecake, yogurt, mango and strawberry — and look out for limited edition ones like lemon and peanut butter. Each cup will set you back $6.90, and it comes with two toppings from a selection that includes chocolate, fruit, candy and cookies.
If you don’t really wanna make the trek to Sengkang, wait for December, when a second outlet will open. Forget Ilao Ilao — looks like this one’s gonna be the new craze.
