Singapore Cocktail Festival kicks off in May for 10 days of celebrating top-notch artisanal spirits

Calling all alcoholics artisanal spirit connoisseurs, the Singapore Cocktail Festival is making its return next month for a 10-day gala in the city that’ll assemble some of the best bartenders and brands from Asia and beyond.

Among the Singapore bar pop-ups are homegrown darlings Nutmeg & Clove, Loof, Mitzo, Kult Kafe, The Wall and more, while international representatives include the likes of Seoul’s Pussyfoot Saloon, London’s The Cocktail Trading Co, Bangkok’s The Bamboo Bar, Beijing’s Janes + Hooch, and dozens more big names in the industry.

The festival village at Empress Lawn will be bring in crowd favorites such as the Artisanal Spirits Tasting Room, where patrons get to sample handcrafted small-batch concoctions. Highlights include the Black Cow Vodka (the world’s only pure milk vodka made entirely from the milk of grass-grazed cows) and Mekhong, The Spirit of Thailand (made with a secret production process with raw Thai ingredients).

Aspiring home bartenders can educate themselves at various workshops such as Kyrö Distillery Company’s gin blending session or learn about the history and origins of fermentation with Operation Dagger’s Sasha Wijidessa.

Of course, you can’t get turnt proper on cocktails without the company of food and music. The festival’s Food Street will feature bites from the likes of Ninja Bowl and Ninja Cut, Sinfonia Ristorante, and Zai Hong Lou, while sweet dance tunes will be provided by the seasoned resident DJs of CÉ LA VI.

For those who’d like to continue the revelry outside the festival grounds, there’s a Cocktail Passport ($15) that will allow buyers to enjoy discounted cocktails and special food pairing menus at 37 participating bars around the city. Or you could just dive into the Bar Tour ($98), where folks can go for an alcohol-fuelled excursion across four selected bars to sip on a cocktail at each venue.
