After years of teasing us with pop-up stores, Magnum has finally found a permanent home in Singapore, with its first space now open at ION Orchard. Featuring art installations like the Singapore skyline created with Magnum sticks, and an array of bejeweled Magnum bars, this is pretty much any Magnum fan’s idea of heaven. Maybe.
Anyway, the now-familiar Magnum Pleasure Bar makes an appearance here — the ice cream bar allows you to customize your own treat for a rather hefty price of $8. Start with a stick of vanilla ice cream dipped in dark, milk or white Belgian chocolate, then choose three toppings from 18 varieties such as pistachios, cocoa nibs and goji berries, or rose petals and chilli flakes for the more adventurous among us. Before your creation is handed over to you, it’s drizzled with a chocolate sauce of your choice.
Besides frozen treats, the store also offers Asia’s first Magnum coffee ($5-$8), which is basically Magnum chocolate-infused coffee beans that produce drinks like espresso, mocha and affogato. If you’re not a fan of java, you can always put aside calorie-counting for the day and order a rich cup of milk or dark chocolate.
For the hardcore Magnum obsessives, there will also be merch ($12.90-$24.90) like tumblers, notebooks and leather pouches available for you to take home.
