If you’re craving good, hearty Korean grub, perhaps this hidden spot could be your next go-to. Nestled away from the crowds at its new space in Peace Centre, Su Korean BBQ recently made the move after spending three years at Toa Payoh.

It’s a cozy, family-run diner that takes pride in its Korean dishes, with must-try signatures such as seafood/kimchi pancake, fried chicken, seafood soy bean soup, and BBQ meats. The vibes are homely and the prices are decent, especially if you pop by during lunch hours.

From 11am to 3pm, $9.80 will get you a main and a drink, with unlimited side dishes to fill up on. Dishes to try include beef bulgogi hot plate, kimchi fried rice, grilled saba fish, and spicy fish soup. Alternatively, you could try the ramyeon bowls, which are topped with a range of seafood, dumplings, kimchi, or cheese. For the same selection at dinner, prices are hiked up just a little to $11.80 or $13.80.

Come nightfall, when you’re in the mood for some sizzle, browse through the BBQ menu for marinated meats like garlic pork belly, beef bulgogi, and chicken teriyaki. Sharing portions of sausage/kimchi stew are available too, as well as soups like ginseng chicken and beef short rib.

To wash it all down with a splash of booze, order a round of soju ($18 each) in flavors like plum, grape, peach, and raspberry or Korean rice wine ($20 each) in peach or raspberry.
