Heads up, Westies. A new Thai street food kiosk is now open at the basement of Clementi Mall, and it’s a takeaway stall by a familiar brand. Featuring mainly skewered meats, Mookata Express offers sticks of everything from beef and pork belly to minced chicken cheese balls and pandan leaf chicken. Get ’em on their own or with a bento set that comes with white rice and a Thai-style salad (you can also add $1 for cha yen).
Other Thai snacks on the menu include kap moo (crispy pork skin), cha yen (Thai iced milk tea) and nam manao (lime juice).
Mookata Express is at #B1-K22 Clementi Mall, 3155 Commonwealth Avenue West. Daily 10am-10pm. Skewer sticks range from $1.60-$2, bento sets start from $5.80.
