Leave your grown-up problems at the door and let loose at this festival featuring a Riverdale party and a Hollywood ball

We sure love our festivals in Singapore, judging by the number of people who turn up for stuff like Artbox Singapore, i Light Marina Bay and the Singapore Night Festival. So here’s another: the first one ever by The Lo & Behold Group — the people who brought us restaurants/hotels/beach clubs like Loof, The Black Swan, Odette, Tanjong Beach Club and The Warehouse Hotel.

Spread across the month of June — so adults, not just school kids, can live it up — the fest features parties, workshops and gourmet experiences at Lo & Behold’s various venues.

First up, the Food Fight at Extra Virgin Pizza (June 2), where food gurus Ming Tan from Grain and Bjorn Shen from Artichoke and Bird Bird will face off in a doughy showdown. And what will spectators get? Free pizzas — ya can’t say no to that.

The week after, head over to The Rabbit Hole for the Drink Your Greens gin workshop (June 8) featuring Gin Mare. For $98, you’ll be sipping on gin, gleaning new facts about the drink, and lugging home a G&T cocktail kit. Then over the weekend, get gussied up for Electroball at The Black Swan (June 10), which will take you on a cinematic journey through Hollywood’s Golden Age. Think glitz and glamor with the tunes of jazz and performances by silver screen drag queens.

For Sentosa regulars, swing by Tanjong Beach Club on June 17 to indulge in a Bottomless Brunch ($98) that includes a carving station, an oyster bar and limitless booze, or party the day away on June 18 with deep house and disco beats by DJ/producer Elli Arakawa.

On the final week of June, sign up for a detox at Looksee Looksee’s Vitali-tea workshop (June 21) to learn all about tea benefits and ingredients ($65). Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper festival without a party to go out with a bang, so OverEasy Orchard’s Guilty Pleasures series is celebrating its first anniversary with The Riverdale Special (June 24), just for all you Archie comics and Riverdale fans. You know what to do — throw on your best back-to-school togs for a nostalgic prom-esque night.

The Lo & Behold Group Festival is on from May 29- Jun 25 at various locations.
