Gong Cha wades into bubble tea souffle pancake territory… but only at Causeway Point

Soufflé pancakes have been on our shores for a while now, but perhaps the recent entrance of Japan’s famous Gram Cafe & Pancakes hiked up interest surrounding those fluffy stacks once again. If you’re not interested in queueing or waiting for the wobbly treats to be served at VivoCity a grand total of three times a day, perhaps Gong Cha could be your back-up option.

In a sudden, surprise move, the beverage brand announced its new menu addition on its social media pages over the weekend. But strangely enough, the bubble tea soufflé pancakes topped with tapioca pearls are only available at one outlet in Causeway Point, and only from noon to 9pm. No word on how long the item will stick around for, either.

However if you even have to ask, “where on earth is Causeway Point?”, we’re guessing the Woodlands mall is nowhere near where you work or live. Those who insist on making the trek over anyway (for the ‘gram, just admit it) can factor in about half an hour’s worth of wait time, according to one unsatisfied customer on Gong Cha’s Instagram page.

Before you go, take note that each serving of pancakes goes for $5.80, and the outlet also offers brown sugar boba soft serve ($3.80) for those who want a scoop of ice cream to go with your dessert breakfast.
