Bask in the beauty of nature at the newly-opened Botanico, where a four-course brunch includes freshly shucked osyters, Iberico ham croquette and lamb tartare. Sip on the Eggster cocktail – a sweet blend of Baileys, vodka, chocolate sauce and chocolate powder in an egg shell – or opt for a glass of Provence rosé at the pop-up bar. As for the young ones, when they’re not busy coloring and painting eggs, they’ll have pastas, fries and cookies to munch on. To bring home sweet treats, pop downstairs to Bee’s Knees for Easter-themed lemon, chocolate and carrot cupcakes.

Other highlights of the meal include an Easter egg hunt, an egg-painting sesh, and face-painting activities.

Otherwise, go for the à la carte weekend brunch plates and float away on a pleasant buzz from the free flow prosecco, house wines and draught beers as you watch little ones hunt down Easter eggs in the garden out of the corner of your eye.

As you sip your champagne flute, you’ll be served platters of charcuterie, breads and canapés like pan-fried foie gras. If you’re thinking it all sounds way too swanky for a family outing, don’t worry – kids will be entertained by Easter egg hunts and goodie bags filled with treats.

All that – plus the copious amounts of free flow champagne, house wines and cocktails you’re probably going to inhale – works out to a delightfully saccharine meal, indeed. As the kids bounce their way through inflated castles, treat yourself to a dip at the pool as the first tingling of your food coma kicks in.
