Twenty-twenty-two has been quite a year. While the Covid-19 pandemic is on the retreat, in Southeast Asia it feels less like the world is returning to normal and more like we’re still riding the chaos rollercoaster. Marijuana legalized in Thailand? The Marcos family returned to power in the Philippines? Things that would’ve been impossible to predict just a few years ago have passed into reality. So much change in such a short time can be hard to wrap your head around.
