Woman’s head found in Makati creek

At around 1pm on Sat, Jan 14, a construction worker found the severed head of a woman floating in a creek along Kalayaan Avenue in Makati City.

“The construction worker initially thought it was the head of a mannequin until he looked closer. Shocked, he immediately went to the police to alert them about his gruesome find,” reports Robertzon Ramirez in The Philippine Star.

The report noted: “Senior Police Officer 2 Dominador Robles — homicide investigator of the Makati police’s Station Investigation and Detective Management branch — said they had yet to identify the woman and the reason behind the killing. They were also checking if the head could belong to the headless body of a woman found on Caysio Road — near a slaughterhouse — in Sta. Maria, Bulacan last Fri, Jan 13.”

The police report described the headless body of the woman to be at least 20 years old and between 4’11” and 5’1″ tall. The headless body was clad in a black long-sleeved shirt and blue leggings. The report added that “investigators saw bruises on the woman’s arms and legs and evidence of rape.”
