Have you watched the movie Groundhog Day? This is the local and real-life version of that movie, minus the cute groundhog.
“On Wed, Mar 30, the Bureau of Corrections seized improvised weapons and other contrabands during a raid on the New Bilibid Prison (NBP)’s maximum security compound in Muntinlupa City,” reports Perseus Echeminada in The Philippine Star.
The report noted: “NBP Superintendent Richard Schwarzkopf said the raid on the dormitory of the Batman Gang yielded an aquarium, appliances, electronic gadgets, and liquor.”
Schwarzkopf disclosed, “We confiscated fewer contraband, but we will continue Oplan Galugad to rid the prison of banned items.”
This is just the latest in a series of raids that have yielded guns, sex toys, sex pills, among other things.
