Look what we have here.

Workers from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) got the surprise of their lives when they discovered wallets full of ATM cards and IDs clogging a drain pipe on Padre Burgos St. in Batangas City earlier this week.

The wallets were believed to have been stolen from their respective owners because they didn’t have a single centavo found inside them.

Many of the IDs belonged to students and women, GMA News’ Balitambayan reported yesterday.

Reuters reported that the wallets were found way deep down the drain, making authorities surmise that they have been there for a long time.

They also noticed that many of the IDs had dates from 2015 and 2016.

The wallets have been returned to their respective owners, reported ABS-CBN News.
