ICYMI, Vice President Leni Robredo’s “Kakampink” supporters produced and released a music video called “Pag-ibig ang Kulay ng Pasko” (Love is the color of Christmas) that centers on volunteerism and the kindness of people’s hearts—relevant amid the wake of devastation of typhoon Odette just days before.
Robredo wrote on her social media page, “Sa gitna ng hamon ng unos at pandemya, nananaig ang kabutihan at pag-ibig ngayong Pasko.
Handog ng mga #Kakampink: Isang awit gawa ng volunteers para sa volunteers, at para sa lahat sa atin na nangangarap at nagtataguyod ng isang Pilipinas na mas maunlad, mas mapagpalaya, at mas mapagmahal.”
(Amid the challenges of disasters and the pandemic, kindness and love prevail this Christmas.

Running almost 8 minutes long, the video uses various translations of “love” in local languages, and is reminiscent of well-loved Kapamilya Christmas IDs—from its star-studded roster of celebrities and social media influencers to snippets of supporters’ volunteer initiatives and their own personal stories.
The video features celebrities such as Jolina Magdangal, JK Labajo, JMKO, Agot Isidro, Saab Magalona-Bacarro, Bituin Escalante, Pinky Amador, Nikki Valdez, Sharon Cuneta, and Ogie Alcasid.
Meanwhile, influencers such as Camille Co, Laureen Uy, Kerwin King, and Miggy Cruz also made appearances.
The video also featured medical frontliners, and various volunteer initiatives such as free lugaw, free haircuts, caravans, and the packing of relief goods for typhoon victims, including Odette.
The video also showcased the stories of everyday Filipinos who were inspired to make a difference thanks to Robredo and her legion of supporters. One story that stood out was of Dante Lardizabal, a former administration supporter who reportedly had a change of heart after losing three family members to COVID-19 in five months.
“That was the turning point for us. Nagbago lahat noong natulungan nila mga kapatid ko (Everything changed when they helped my siblings),” Lardizabal said.
The biker added that he wanted to make up for the past and help. “In my own little way, I’ll do something right now. I’ll do something better. I want my children to remember me that lumaban ka, at least. Para sa inyo ito, anak.” (At least you fought. This is for you, my children.)
