A thoughtful stranger’s generous gesture is reminding the online world that a simple act of kindness can indeed go a long, long way.

A man of unknown nationality was spotted in a mall buying a pair of rubber shoes for a young sampaguita vendor.

According to the post by mall sales staff Ahyan Yerro, the man supposedly saw the boy selling sampaguita outside Megamall in Mandaluyong. The boy looked dirty and had no shoes — so Mr. Good Guy just invited him to go shopping.

The lucky boy chose a black pair of rubber shoes amounting to about PHP3,000 — but really, this isn’t about the value of the shoes.

What’s more? Mr. Good Guy also asked about where he can get clothes for the young vendor. Looks like he’s getting the boy new threads to match his new shoes.

The post has gone viral on social media with more than 15,000 likes.
