VIDEO: We put the ‘Samsung Galaxy A Series’ to the test at ‘Flying Trapeze Philippines’

If you really want to put a new mobile phone to the test, you need to do so in extraordinary circumstances. Getting a smooth stream of AlDub in a Manila traffic jam is no longer the bench mark.

That’s why we decided to take the new Galaxy A Series on a little adventure recently, putting it through its paces at Flying Trapeze Philippines, a first of its kind extreme sports facility, located in BGC.

Knowing that they’re especially hard to please when it comes to technology and social media access, we took two Filipino millennials – who fortunately were not scared of heights – for a day of throwing themselves off the 25ft-high trapeze platforms armed with nothing but a couple of harnesses, their enthusiasm, and the phone.

Check out the video above to see their adrenalin-fueled fun.

With such sexy aesthetics – a slim black glass and mental design measuring just 7.15mm in width – the Galaxy A Series looks a lot more expensive than it is. This meant our two testers ticked the all-important box of “looking fly” while documenting their day, which, let’s face it, is half the concern when it comes to choosing a new piece of kit.

However, as they snapped mid-air selfies and shot moving videos galore, our gorgeous Guinea pigs also found that the Galaxy A Series functions were just as optimum as its look.

No jiggly photos or videos here. They saw brighter, shake-free footage with the F1.9 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization, and found they could draw quicker than Billy The Kid on caffeine with a “Quick Launch” function of just 0.7 seconds.

What’s more, the phone’s powerful performance system was up to the challenge of the day, with its fast charging abilities and expandable memory of 128GB, allowing the pair to post social media updates to their hearts’ content.

After all, if it wasn’t posted, it didn’t happen, right? YOLO responsibly, people.

The smartphone for the new millennial, the Samsung Galaxy A Series 2016 boasts a slick look – meaning you can take it to work, to dinner and adventuring – and premium features at a great price.
