‘Seed the Difference’ with the GreenerMNL movement happening on Oct 27-30

We all want to do our part in keeping the planet green, but let’s be honest, in this fast-paced, hi-tech world, it can be hard to find a place to start.

Well, Jess Lauchengco-Lim and Carlo Sumaong of MNLGrowkits did all the dirty work for us. They’re helping “plant the seeds” to promote environmental sustainability through the GreenerMNL movement running from Oct 27 to 30.

By using the power of social media and the power of design Jess and Carlo are hoping to align agriculture into the lifestyle of millennials.

Here’s what’s happening and how you can participate:

1. Use #GreenerMNL on your posts throughout the campaign to help donate fertilizers to the farmers of Kiangan, Ifugao.

Every public post on social media using the hashtag #GreenMNL translates to 50g of organic fertilizer to a collective fund that will be donated to Tsaa Laya Mint Farmers in Kiangan, Ifugao. Just make sure that your account is set to public.

These indigenous families are involved in mint farming. They were spcifically chosen to help bring back life in the abandoned parts of the rice terraces. This simple move can help them earn and at the same time, breathe life back into one of the country’s heritage sites.

2. Visit green places to raise awareness about sustainable living.

MNLGrowthkits partnered up with Eric Yambao of  Plöntur to greenify unconventional green places that most millennials visit. It aims to generate buzz about beautiful, well-designed, well-built and sustainable living spaces. Here are the establishments participating in the GreenMNL movement:
