A security guard at the Eternal Gardens Memorial Park in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City, was arrested after he attempted to blackmail a 16-year-old girl into having sex with him.
Apparently, the girl and her boyfriend had visited the memorial park last week. They had ended up kissing. The security guard happened to see the intimate encounter between the girl and her boyfriend and used his cellphone to recorded a video of them.
When the girl and her boyfriend realized that the guard was taking a video of them, they immediately went to him and begged him not to spread the clip. The two were afraid that their parents would see the clip.
The security guard, who was identified as Enrique Coranez, 34, told the couple that he would not leak the video as long as he could have the girl’s cellphone number. The girl was rattled and gave him her number.
However, as soon as the girl got home, she reportedly saw some disturbing messages from Coranez. He was allegedly asking her to have sex with him in exchange for not leaking the video.
Edd Reyes of Journal Online reported that the girl sought the help of her uncle to deal with Coranez. The uncle contacted the Caloocan police Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD). The cops then arranged an entrapment operation for Coranez, who will now face charges for child abuse.
