Rescued: Kidnapped Las Piñas baby taken to Tarlac by ‘yaya’

Once again, a reminder: Be careful about the people you hire to take care of your children.

The yaya (nanny) who saves you from breaking down from taking care of your kid 24/7 may cause you to break down for some other reason.

A nine-month-old boy was rescued by police officers who tracked his alleged kidnappers – which included his yaya – in Concepcion, Tarlac yesterday morning.

The mother of the baby told police that the kid’s nanny, a 20-year-old woman, took her son from their home in Pilar Village, Las Piñas, on Thu afternoon, Apr 28.

She nanny got into a white Hyundai Accent that was waiting outside the house. The baby’s mom said she was not able to get the vehicle’s plate number.

“Nevertheless, the police used the other information that baby’s mom gave about the baby’s nanny to start off their investigation.

“The nany was arrested with her two other cohorts in the kidnapping — a 22-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man, both residents of Barangay Sto. Cristo in Concepcion, [Tarlac],” reports Cecille Suerte Felipe in The Philippine Star.

Police officers from the Anti-Kidnapping Group, headed by Senior Superintendent Roberto Fajardo, as well as from the Las Piñas and Tarlac police intelligence bureau, arrested the suspects, who were brought to the Concepcion police for documentation.

The report didn’t say how long the nanny had been employed at the baby’s home.
