Photos: Flooding in Pasay City

Flooding became a common scene in may parts of Metro Manila as Tropical Storm “Maring” enhanced the monsoon and brought intense rains to the capital and in other parts of Luzon.

This neighborhood in Pasay City is luckier than other areas. According to reports, the provinces of Laguna and Cavite have declared a state of calamity. This releases funds reserved for emergencies and freezes prices on basic goods.

Two towns in Ilocos Sur have also declared a state of calamity over their areas.

Earlier Monday, the Palace ordered classes suspended in Metro Manila as well as in the provinces of  Pangasinan, Benguet, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.

Tropical Storm Maring is expected to stay within the Philippine Area of Responsibility until Thursday morning.
