A convicted American pedophile wanted by US federal authorities was arrested by the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) over the weekend.

The 38-year-old was arrested at his house along along Teresita Blvd., Bgy. Tanza, in Tuguegarao on Sun at the request of the US Embassy in Manila. He was convicted for molesting a 9-year-old girl in Arkansas City in 1999.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente noted that the American’s passport has already been revoked, thus making him an undocumented alien who poses a risk to the public.

“Aside from being undocumented, he will also be deported for undesirability and posing a risk to public safety,” Morente said

The American “is the subject of outstanding arrest warrants issued by a judicial circuit court in Greene County, Missouri for failure to appear for his cases of unlawful use of a weapon and driving with a revoked/suspended license; probation violation for second degree assault; and failure to register as a sex offender,” reports SunStar.

He will be deported as soon as the BI board of commissioners issues the order for his summary deportation. He will also be placed on the immigration blacklist for being a threat to the safety of Filipino children.
