Gunshots were heard at a mall in Las Piñas Saturday night, witnesses have said, prompting people to run for cover.
In an interview on dzMM minutes after reports of the incident broke on social media, Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario of the Southern Police District said the shooting happened outside SM Southmall.

Based on videos shared on social media, people at the scene could be seen stricken with panic.
According to a GMA News report, Pasay City Councilor Borbie Rivera was hurt in the incident. He was rushed to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City. Rivera also survived an ambush in June 2017.
