And we’ll see Manny Pacquaio back in action soon.

Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has already signed the contract for a July 2 welterweight bout against Australia’s Jeff Horn, according to Top Rank chief executive Bob Arum.

Arum told Lance Pugmire of the LA Times that Pacquiao has already signed the contract for a fight that will be held in the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, but they are still waiting for other details to be finalized.

“We’re slowly finishing up the deal to fight,” Arum was quoted as saying. “People have agreed on essential points.”

Pacquiao will be defending his WBO welterweight strap against Horn, an unheralded Australian boxer who competed in the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Arum explained that while everything was firmly on track, the paperwork is taking some time to process because they were working with a foreign government and a foreign promoter.

“We’re dealing with an Australian promoter, the state government,” he said. “Here, in this case, you’ve got to cross the T’s and dot the I’s, and that’s what we’re in the process of doing.”

Even as they wait for the details to be ironed out, Arum is already confident that the bout will be a blockbuster in Australia. He expects the 55,000-capacity stadium to be sold out.

Other details that need to be worked on include the undercard, with Arum telling the LA Times that he wants to put at least one other title fight on the event.
