Tim Tebow is gonna play for the Philippines, y’all!

The former quarterback and New York Mets minor league outfielder will be playing for the country in the World Baseball Classic (WBC), according to a tweet shared by the athletic event today.

Tebow said he is “excited” about competing at the WBC, which he also thought was “cool,” reports the Associated Press. In a tweet that appeared today, he also wrote, “Grateful and excited to play for team Philippines in the @WBCbaseball… the country I was born in and somewhere that is near and dear to my heart!”

The WBC will occur next month in Taiwan, Japan, and the United States. The Philippines will compete  against Britain, New Zealand, Spain, Panama, and the Czech Republic, CBS Sports reports.

The son of Baptist missionaries, Tebow was born in 1987 in Makati City, where his family founded a ministry. He moved to the United States three years later. Before his career as a baseball player, Tebow played for the NFL for three seasons, for teams such as the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and the New England Patriots. He started playing for the Mets in 2016.
