Residents of Muntinlupa City who were set to receive their Covid-19 vaccines in the coming days were dismayed to find out that the the municipal government has suspended the vaccination scheduled at the Festival Mall site beginning today, July 15.

According to the announcement on the Muncovac Facebook page, a malfunction in the storage facilities has led to the possible compromise of the quality of the vaccine doses kept there.

“Our priority is the welfare of each person, so we have decided not to use these vaccine doses. It is better to be safe, because the health of those to be vaccinated depends on this,” the announcement said, in Filipino.

Affected citizens have yet to receive a new schedule for their jabs, though the announcement assures that everyone scheduled, particularly for their second dose, will be able to receive their vaccines.
