After a night out with friends to celebrate his 20th birthday, Salvador Aller Jr arrived at 4:30am at his residence in Bgy Barangka, Marikina City.
By 6:55am, the apartment had caught fire.
“Marikina fire chief Supt. Edwin Vargas said that firemen found the victim inside the bathroom. He added that the other tenants said they tried but failed to wake Aller up as he was reportedly drunk,” reports Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Vargas explained that they were “still investigating what triggered the fire in one of the apartment’s second-floor bedrooms.”
