Man shoots drunk neighbor who was allegedly picking a fight

A man was arrested earlier today after killing his drunk neighbor who allegedly picked a fight with him in Antipolo City.

ABS-CBN News identified the victim as Ludy Combate. According to the suspect who remained unidentified, Combate was drunk when the incident happened.

Superintendent Villaflor Bannawagan, the chief of the Antipolo police, said that Combate confronted the suspect with a gun. The suspect allegedly tried to wrench the gun away from Combate but accidentally shot him during the scuffle.

Another neighbor was also injured after he was grazed by a stray bullet, the report added.

Bannawagon said that it’s possible that there was a pre-existing feud between the suspect and the victim.

The suspect fled from the scene of the crime. The police tracked him down and arrested him in an alley in Barangay (Village) Santa Cruz in Antipolo City.

Authorities recovered Combate’s firearm from the suspect. He is now facing charges of homicide and frustrated homicide.
