A man who was running away from paying his bill at a food court in Ilocos Norte died on the spot after being hit by a truck on Friday afternoon, ABS-CBN News reports.
Clemencio Rasay, 55, and Angel Hermano, 63, used a motorcycle to escape but Hermano accidentally fell as they were speeding along the national highway.
He was run over by a truck.
The truck driver Gilbert Silvano immediately fled the incident, but he eventually surrendered on Friday night.
He is charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
