LTFRB to taxi drivers: Don’t overcharge! Don’t refuse passengers!

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is warning taxi drivers that their licenses will be cancelled if they overcharge fare, contract or refuse passengers.

It may be recalled that LTFRB chair Martin Delgra III had said noted that during the holidays, there’s usually a spike in the number of complaints against taxi drivers.

As such, the LTFRB also directed taxi operators to supervise/monitor their drivers and that it reserves the right to suspend or cancel their certificates of public convenience.

The public is advised to send their complaints with details such as location, nature of complaint, picture, etc. and assures that these will be addressed by the agency.

The LTFRB may be reached through its Facebook account LTFRB Citizen Enforcer, @LTFRB on Twitter and through its Viber channel: LTFRB. —Philippine News Agency (PNA)
