Lolo Smart has made it, guys — he’s passed the 100,000-subscriber mark.

Veteran repair technician Rodel Pacis, known to the internet as Lolo Smart (Grandpa Smart), just received a YouTube Silver Creator Award, also known as a play button, after his channel reached the 100,000-subscriber milestone.

His YouTube channel has 179,000 subscribers as of writing.

Lolo Smart became a YouTube star overnight after viewer Ramil Lantican chanced upon one of his DIY (do-it-yourself) tutorials and raved about the repairman’s channel on Facebook, which had 557 subscribers at the time.

Social media quickly embraced the senior YouTuber for his clear explanations and helpful step-by-step instructions.

Content creator Ninong Ry and the three million-strong Facebook group Home Buddies further ushered in Lolo Smart’s surge in popularity.

“We are truly happy about this unboxing,” Pacis wrote on his page, as he thanked Lantican, Ninong Ry, and Home Buddies founder Frances Cabatuando for their “generous hearts as they shared the Lolo Smart YouTube channel.”

“Thank you to everyone who supported Lolo Smart, that’s why (we) got the YouTube silver play button,” he added.
