Citing an unnamed source, Pocholo Concepcion of the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that Bondoc quit his PAGCOR post because “realized he’s not cut out for the job.”
Bondoc was criticized by netizens last month when it was announced that Duterte appointed him as PAGCOR assistant vice president.
The singer — best known for his 2004 hit song “Let Me Be The One” — defended the appointment. “I am here to serve. This industry has served me. I want to serve the next generation, hoping I can make conditions better for them,” he wrote.
